Joaquin A. Luna
President and CFO
Since joining USCarrier as President and a member of the Board of Directors, Joaquin has been responsible for a range of operational and general management of the company, demonstrating a strong commitment to client services and tangible results for the company while managing a relationship with the twenty telecommunications companies that make up the company’s owners, investors and Board of Directors. Joaquin is a member of the Board of Directors of DDR Broadband Networks.
Prior to USCarrier, Joaquin held management positions in multi-billion dollar industries, both domestic and international, such as Intel Corporation, International Truck and Engine Corporation (Navistar), Sun Healthcare Group, Inc. and Infinity Group, Inc. where he was responsible for long-range financial planning, acquisition and divestiture analysis, joint ventures, market analysis, management reporting and profitability.
Joaquin holds a Masters of Business Administration, with a Concentration in Change Management from DePaul University, Kellstadt Graduate School of Leadership and Management in Chicago, Illinois and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jack C. Roberts
Vice President of Sales
Jack Roberts has been with USCarrier since September 2000 and has served in various Sales Marketing and Business development roles. Currently, he is responsible for overall sales of wholesale broadband, long distance and Internet services provided by USCarrier.
Mr. Roberts has more than 35 years of broad based experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining USCarrier, Jack spent 34 years with AT&T with diverse backgrounds in switching systems operations, design and development engineering. Jack also has significant experience in Bell Laboratories and global markets with sales responsibility for multi-national corporations throughout the southeast.
Greg Frikor
Director of Sales
Greg Frikor joined USCarrier Telecom LLC. as Director of Sales, in May 2007. He has more than 25 years
of telecommunications sales and sales management experience, with companies such as Sprint, AT&T and Last Mile
Connections. The second half of Greg’s career was dedicated to the wholesale sector of the telecommunications
industry. Prior to USCarrier, Mr. Frikor spent 15 years at Verizon (formerly MCI) progressing from account
representative to leading the wholesale sales division in the southeast United States.
Pedro M. Ferreira
Director of Technology and Business Development
Pedro Ferreira has been with USCarrier since October of 2000. He is responsible for network reliability, operations, network planning and product development. Pedro supervises the technical, Provisioning and engineering staff.
Mr. Ferreira has extensive experience in designing technical specifications for network architecture, managing broadband networks, designing ISP infrastructures and training Network operations center staff. He holds a BS in Engineering, from Rutgers University.
Rita P. Mahan
Director of Communications and Administration
Rita Mahan serves USCarrier as Director of Marketing and Administration. Her responsibilities include implementing the strategic marketing direction and branding of the company, as well as managing the marketing and administrative staff.
Mrs. Mahan has extensive experience in corporate marketing, advertising, branding and administration. Her broad range of experience includes having served as Vice President of Marketing for a consumer products company, Director of Marketing for an information technology company, as well as a senior partner in a national advertising agency.
Randall Sheppard
Director of Engineering Operations
Randall Sheppard is one of the start-up employees that joined USCarrier Telecom in 1999 and was the Technical Services Supervisor in Macon, GA. Randall was promoted to Director of Engineering Operations in June 2008 for his outstanding achievements, management skills and more than 35 years experience in the telecom industry. His responsibilities include circuit design, network architecture, capacity management and sales engineering.
